What is the Art & Food DTS?

The Discipleship Training School (DTS) is designed to help you understand God more deeply, live more like Jesus and identify your unique gifts and purpose to use in missions. DTS is an intensive, residential training course which begins with an 11 or 12 week classroom phase, followed by an 8-12 week outreach. DTS emphasizes cross-cultural exposure and global awareness, preparing students to answer the call to "Go into all the world and make disciples of all nations" Matthew 28:19. The curriculum is in the following six major categories: God's nature and character; God's intention for individuals, peoples and nations; seeing all of life from God's perspective; redemption, sin, and the Cross; God's family - the Church; God's world - His call and commission; the ministries of YWAM.

Lecture Phase

The theme of the DTS is Art & Food.  The theme of the DTS will be around art and food. We want to encourage students to use their different artistic talents to reach people. Art really draws people in and provides opportunity to talk to people and to bless them. These times of artistic expression/ministry could take on numerous forms depending on everyone's unique gifts! Food is important to all of us, and in many cultures it is mainly through eating together that fellowship is taking place.

I love how this DTS has it’s own flavor, applying the general DTS principles to the city of Paris and in doing so creating something very unique.

Outreach Phase

The school includes a three month outreach following our lectures in Paris. Our DTS is focused on South East Asia and Frenchspeaking Africa. We split into a few teams to travel to different nations and cities to teach and to preach whenever we can, and to serve and encourage the Church in this region. Our opportunities are diverse, often spontaneous and always an adventure.
