The first 3 months of the school are a time to learn about God’s heart for healthy pregnancies and to be trained in practical skills.
You will learn about maternal health, how to manage a normal birth with complications that may arise, and provide skilled help for pregnant women. Through morning lectures and hands-on training workshops in the afternoons, you will gain understanding on both medical and spiritual topics.
Areas of training will include the importance of prayer, worship, listening, and obeying God in the labour room, teaching and training women about their bodies, nutrition, hygiene and safe birth practice, anatomy and physiology, practical skills with antenatal care, normal labour and delivery, common problems in postpartum, and newborn care.
This is a highly specialised birth attendant school to train you for developing nations, not for working in the Western world.
